A CUTTING TORCH IN THE DISMANTLING OF AMERICA
One of the four freedoms portrayed by the famed American illustrator, Norman Rockwell is, The Freedom from Fear. It doesn’t refer to the fears and worries of everyday living, it means the fear from the will of other men’s minds! It means the freedom from the fear of losing one’s liberty, freedom from the fear of our enemies, that would undermine or threaten our Democracy and destroy our way of life. The fundamental right to privacy is the right that allows you and your family to come home at night, close your door, and have confidence that you are safe and free from the fear that others will intrude into your lives, and that basic right is under attack.
The proposed theft of that right to privacy–the so-called Card Check Bill– sponsored by political shills is the shocking, disgraceful selling of a fundamental right of United States citizens to labor unions, by arrogant politicians who have the pernicious audacity to think they can.
You, your spouse and your kids will have to cast their vote for or against unionizing, under the gaze of others who have made it clear that they have been provided with your personal information for balloting purposes and that if you vote against the union you will be remembered and added to the list, “not a friend”, if you vote for it, an unprincipled management might make you a target. The anonymity of the secret ballot insulates the worker from the unsettling fear of “consequences” in the workplace. Maintaining fear is the object of this bill and it places workers squarely in the middle of two powerful opposing forces in a no-win situation. Organized labor wants this badly and has mobilized to lobby (that’s what they call it) heavily for this, further dismantling of America. Democrat heavyweight George McGovern was so against this outrage that he recorded for broadcast, a message condemning this proposal as an assault on American’s rights.
None of this would be possible if the ballot respected the right and expectation of privacy in a citizen’s personal affairs. The fundamental right to privately vote one’s conscience will be shredded by unprincipled political goons, in a rabid drooling chase after money for their only reason for living…GET RE-ELECTED ! !…and they are willing to sell YOUR rights to the highest bidder. Make no mistake, they receive money, called campaign contributions, and sign over your right to a secret ballot to the one’s who have paid the cash. This is what these goons laughingly call “the political process” and to them it is worth millions! Pay very close attention to who votes for this atrocity…..No goddamned politician can auction off our rights!!! ……Semper Fi
