OUR INCONVENIENT VOICES
The citizens are “carrying swastikas” according to Nancy Pelosi! The President wants the citizens to inform on their neighbors about subversive behavior! Citizens presenting their grievances to their government are held up for ridicule, are scoffed at and derided as mobs, as Nazis and bussed in phonies! The degree to which this government has turned on its’ own people is stunning, but what is equally disturbing is the total inability of the Republicans, or even the so called Libertarians for that matter, to respond to the outcry of the aggrieved and the helpless or mount any response to the dismantling of our nation. The Republicans are leaderless, those who unwittingly approach the microphones offer only mind numbing pap. They have nothing to offer a fearful people, no rousing speeches, no detailed alternatives or counter proposals, nothing to let their constituents know that they have sensible options to offer ; they are frozen…inept and useless. Much also can be said for whoever is running the Libertarians. At a time unlike any in recent memory, with a hugely disenchanted populace…..they can’t quite comprehend that maybe… somehow…NOW! …might be a good time to present their party as a serious alternative to the presently entrenched duopoly, but by all appearances they too are not up to being considered anything approaching serious. It can never be said that Libertarians are opportunists or for that matter political strategists.
I hold that this administration is making an unforgiving miscalculation in its attempt to manage the outrage of hard pressed taxpayers and label them as right wing extremists. What they did to the Tea Party demonstrators, they now do to the Town Hall taxpayers. In their view they are all Republican ticket-holders …there are none of their brethren among the outraged. To them, ALL Democrats are “with” the movement, blissfully happy and content… and there begins the slippage. What the Democrats know, but refuse to admit is there aren’t enough “angry right-wingers” alone to negatively effect the polls to such a degree. There are indeed many angry and fearful Democrats included in those respondents, and they too have been ridiculed as members of a mob and had their concerns and grievances rudely dismissed. It could foreshadow what might be a sobering rout this fall, and there is not a hint of moderation or slowing of the ideological freight train. No time! Hurry! No time to read the bill! Just pass the bill ..NOW! It staggers reason. Anyone using these tactics to sell you siding, or new windows, or draperies, would be thrown out your door as a fast-talker you just don’t trust. People aren’t as stupid as the Democrats believe, and when something doesn’t smell right, people go with their gut and insulting them only strengthens their conviction that they are right.
Future historians and political scientists will marvel at this complete failure of the government to include the voice of the people as the primary consideration in the direction it chose.

The Democrats are so quick to call people who don’t agree with the worst names they can without hesitation, they throw around Nazi, racists, haters. No other group does that!
Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi have no business in Congress they are just so far out from the vast majority of people neither one has any common sense.
